Overview:

As the final project for this course, you will apply the core concepts of blockchain intuition, cryptocurrency transactions, decentralization, and smart contracts to design a comprehensive architectural blueprint for a custom cryptocurrency network (similar to the 'Hadcoin' network built in the course) and its corresponding Initial Coin Offering (ICO) smart contract.

This assignment requires you to synthesize the programmatic principles you learned in Python (Flask web application nodes, validation, consensus) with the cryptographic and Ethereum-based principles (SHA256 hashing, UTXO transaction model, private/public key signatures, Solidity smart contract variables, and gas optimization).

Task Requirements:

Prepare a single structured technical blueprint document (PDF or Markdown file) addressing the following three core sections:

1. Blockchain Architecture and Consensus Mechanism

Explain how block validation is programmatically achieved inside your node network. Explicitly detail how you would implement the is_chain_valid logic, verifying the SHA256 hashes, previous hashes, and the cryptographic proof-of-work puzzle.
Describe your Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus design. Discuss how your network establishes mining difficulty and protects itself from Byzantine Faults and malicious node attacks (such as a 51% attack).

2. Decentralized Transaction Model and Node Syncing

Outline your transaction model based on the Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) framework. Detail how a transaction moves from a user's wallet (using private and public keys for cryptographic signatures) to the network's mempool, and how miners select transactions.
Define the decentralized network communication. Explain how multiple independent nodes running on your Flask-based web application maintain consensus. Specifically, describe the logic of your replace_chain method (the longest chain rule) when a network split or concurrent mining occurs.

3. Solidity Smart Contract & ICO Design

Design the conceptual outline for an ICO smart contract using Solidity. Specify the version compiler requirements, public state variables needed to track the coin's properties, total supply, and a mapping to track the equity (holdings) of individual investors.
Describe the execution of the coin-purchase mechanism. Explain how investors exchange currency for your custom token, how gas limit/gas price are utilized for execution security inside the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and how lessons from the historical DAO attack inform your contract's security posture.

Submission Format:

Submit your architecture design as a single file (.pdf, .md, or .docx).
Ensure all technical terms are used correctly as taught in the course. Keep your descriptions clear, practical, and highly structured under appropriate headings.
