Scenario: You are the newly appointed Chief AI Officer (CAIO) for an enterprise conglomerate. Your company has three core operational challenges to address using AI: optimizing warehouse inventory flows, minimizing data center server cooling costs, and maximizing revenue across its online retail platform. Your task is to draft a unified AI Strategy and Architecture Brief mapping out the solutions for each of these three business problems.

Objectives & Deliverables

Your portfolio brief must cover the following four sections in detail, drawing directly from the course case studies:

Part 1: Warehouse Flow Optimization (Q-Learning)

Environment Definition: Define the states, actions, and the reward function used to establish the warehouse layout environment.
Algorithm Application: Explain how the Bellman Equation, temporal difference, and learning rate (alpha) compute Q-values over training iterations to produce the optimal route from any starting location to any ending location.

Part 2: Server Cost Minimization (Deep Q-Learning)

DQN Architecture: Outline the neural network brain (using a Keras framework). Specify the input layer, the hidden layers (such as layers containing 64 neurons), and the target outputs.
DQN Mechanics: Explain how state scaling, experience replay (memory batching of inputs and targets), and action selection policies (inference mode vs. random training mode) are implemented to achieve energy savings.

Part 3: Online Retail Revenue Optimization (Thompson Sampling)

Multi-Armed Bandit Setup: Frame the online retail challenge. Define the multiple strategies (e.g., nine distinct strategies) and how conversion rates are evaluated.
Thompson Sampling Intuition: Detail how the Bernoulli distribution is used to model conversions and how Thompson sampling enables the algorithm to dynamically choose the highest-performing strategy.

Part 4: Comparative Strategic Matrix

Synthesize the three solutions into a single matrix comparing their data inputs, primary algorithm mechanics, key hyperparameters (e.g., learning rate alpha, target batches, conversion probabilities), and business value metrics (process optimization speed, energy savings percentage, revenue growth).

Submission Guidelines

Please upload a single document (.pdf, .doc, or .docx) containing your complete brief. Use clear headings, bullet points, and the comparison matrix to ensure high readability for business executives and technical teams alike.
