Project Overview

In this final assignment, you will apply the core Agile principles, roles, rituals, and tools you have learned throughout this course to plan and launch a project using an Agile framework. To demonstrate that Agile is not restricted to IT, you may choose either a software project or a non-IT project (such as launching a podcast, planning an event, or managing an operations task) as your case study.

Using the structured Sprint 0 (Planning) approach detailed in the course, you will prepare an Agile Project Blueprint ready for execution.

Your Task

Create and submit a comprehensive project blueprint document (PDF or Word format) containing the following five sections:

Project Definition & Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
- Describe your project concept.
- Define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for your project (similar to the concept of launching a basic podcast structure first, or building a skateboard before a car to move from Point A to B). What is the smallest, fastest thing you can deliver in your first sprint to provide immediate value?
Agile Team & Roles
- Identify who will fill the three main Agile roles: Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Delivery Team.
- Explain their specific responsibilities within the context of your chosen project (e.g., how the Product Owner will define priorities and how the Scrum Master will facilitate delivery).
Agile Rituals Schedule
- Establish a clear schedule for the 4 main Agile rituals: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review/Demo, and Retrospectives.
- Specify the frequency, duration, and logistics (e.g., where you will meet for your 15-minute daily stand-up, how long your sprints will last—such as 2 weeks).
The Backlog & User Stories
- Create an initial backlog containing at least 5 prioritized user stories.
- Ensure each story is written from the user's perspective.
- Assign estimated Story Points to each user story to represent relative effort, and clearly identify which stories are prioritized for Sprint 1.
Kanban Board & Agile Tool Strategy
- Design the layout of your Agile Kanban Board. List the columns you will use (e.g., To-Do, Work in Progress/Doing, optional QA, Done).
- Select the agile tool you will use to manage this project (e.g., Trello, Jira, Microsoft Planner, or a physical paper board) and justify why this tool is the best fit for your team and environment.
